Vanessa & Russell Wedding | Vaucluse House | Nielsen Park

Vanessa had contacted us mid last year saying she had been checking out our website two years earlier and had loved our work, but as she was planning a UK wedding which is where Russell and her are from, she figured it wasn’t an option. They had decided however that they would get the UK to come to them and held a beautiful Sydney summer wedding instead 🙂

Living in the Eastern suburbs they decided to keep it local, and with such stunning venues why not! The ceremony was held on the lawn of Vaucluse House and the reception in The Beach House Nielsen Park, it was initially meant to be out on the beach itself but the weather had been unpredictable in the lead up so the decided to move it inside a few days before which was lucky because it did rain a little during the night. For a venue change so close to the wedding day Vanessa did an amazing job arranging it to be decorated, they added lots of cool little touches including lots of lanterns for lighting and photos hanging all around the room from their childhood and years together. For something else a little different not being cake fans they had a chocolate fountain which they put a ribbon across so they did a ribbon cutting/ opening of the fountain and lolly bar instead of a cake cutting.

Vanessa and Russell you pulled off an amazing wedding that I’m sure your guests were happy to fly over from the UK for, thank you so much for choosing us to capture it 🙂
